I'm Monica, an Italian wedding and portrait photographer living in Rome and traveling wherever a story is waiting to be told. My roots are both in Sicily, land of a silent language made up of gazes and subtle hues, and Campania, land of passion and melancholy.
I love the scent of old books, balm-crickets in July, early morning walks, my grandmother's photographs, the sound of boiling coffee, bad functioning light-bulbs, handwritten letters, the smell of sand, barley water and old cafés in Ibla.
I'm inspired by people's stories and I love telling them through my personal eye and sensitivity. My goal is to create an accurate yet evocative narrative, putting together candid unexpected moments, unique portraits and sophisticated details in order to provide my clients with timeless, honest and touching memories.
I believe in human relationships and I always put empathy and mutual trust as the cornerstone of my work. I'm thankful for every single time I've been trusted and given the privilege to be part of something special. If you want to join me for a cup of tea, may it be in a café or via a computer screen, just drop me an e-mail: I would love to cross my path with yours.
